 | Dr. Christian Breuer |
Christian Breuer advises companies on industrial property right matters, copyright and competition law and sales. He has many years’ experience in negotiating and completing national and international IT and e-commerce projects, as well as licence, research and development, commercial representative, supplier, OEM and other sales contracts. One of his particular specialities is advising German and US software companies.
Christian Breuer counselled many national and foreign companies on technology transfer projects, joint ventures and the design and implementation of intellectual property right strategies. Sometimes in cooperation with patent attorneys from the relevant specialist areas, he advises on IP prosecution, monitoring and implementing IP rights. This also covers advertising and marketing campaigns in all kinds of media.
He has substantial experience in national and cross-border disputes.
Christian Breuer studied in Bochum and Munich. After obtaining his doctorate, he worked first of all for a firm in Munich specializing in industrial property rights and copyright. Later, he became partner in the IP department of a large US firm, specializing in advising technology and media companies. He joined teclegal Habel on 1 July 2007.
Christian Breuer is the author of Formular-Bibliothek Zivilprozess [Civil proceedings form library] (Competition law volume, Nomos, 2005), and the joint author of the work Die Werbeagentur in Recht und Praxis [The advertising agency in law and practice] (C.H. Beck, 2000).
Christian Breuer is also a visiting lecturer at the Technische Universität München and at the Munich Chamber of Industry and Commerce, a member of the German Society for Law and Information Technology (DGRI), the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), the German Association for Industrial Property Rights and Copyright (GRUR) and the LES (Licensing Executives Society).
